At American Riviera Bank, Giving Tuesday is more than a global day of generosity, it’s a reflection of our commitment to the communities we serve throughout Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo Counties. Each year, as part of our Leadership Development Program, a Employee-Directed Donations Committee decides how funds are allocated to local nonprofits. This annual tradition has grown from a seasonal initiative into a cornerstone of who we are as a community bank.
In previous years, our Giving Tuesday efforts have highlighted local organizations doing vital work across a range of services from basic needs to community development. Last year, the committee chose to honor first responders and veterans’ resources. The goal was to support organizations that provide emergency services and assist those who are first on the scene during crises in our communities.
This year, we chose to focus our impact on empowering youth.
Young people across the Central Coast are shaping the future of our communities. Whether they find inspiration in the arts, mentorship in after-school programs, confidence on the playing field, or support through mental health and wellness resources, local nonprofits provide services that spark growth. We are honored to champion the organizations that help young people learn, grow, and thrive.
A hallmark of our Giving Tuesday program is that it is driven by the voices of our employees, those who know our communities best.
This year we received over 100 nominations from employees, representing 71 unique organizations serving youth across both counties. Their passion and firsthand knowledge guided this year’s Employee-Directed Donations Committee, which had the challenging task of selecting 10 standout nonprofits to receive support.
With a total of $10,000 allocated to the 2025 Employee-Directed Donations Fund, each of the following organizations received a $1,000 donation in recognition of their remarkable work in youth education, empowerment, and enrichment.

We extend our gratitude to our 2025 Employee-Directed Donations Committee:
Co-Captains: Christine Grace, Omar Santos
Committee Members: Fernanda Rios, Gilbert Gomez, Luz Cardona, Iveth Hidalgo, Tamara Rodrigues
Consultants: Alyssa Shapiro, Steven Harding
Giving Tuesday reminds us that meaningful change starts close to home. At American Riviera Bank, we are proud to stand alongside organizations dedicated to strengthening the next generation of our communities.
To all the nonprofits, volunteers, and employees who made this year’s Giving Tuesday possible: thank you. Together, we’re helping young people across the Central Coast discover their potential and build brighter futures.
